Prairie Dogs arrive at Wild Britain
Date:
01/08/2010 - 31/08/2010
Venue: Wild Britain
All so cute! This summer meet the new Prairie Dog family at Wild Britain. With dad Tom, mum Lucy and their four little ones, sons Alan and Steve (named after the BBC television sketch ‘A Walk on the Wild Side’) and their sisters Suzy and Rosie, this loving family of six is ready to meet the visitors at Wild Britain.
Greeting each other by kissing, Prairie Dogs are extremely social and the new residents at Wild Britain are no exception. Prairie Dogs originate from the grasslands of North America and arrived in Europe nearly 200 years ago to be kept in captivity. Currently they live in zoos and wildlife centres all over the world.
